Mary has run her own business, Leadership Essentials, specialising in providing coaching support for School Principals and Leadership Teams as well as providing workshops for the development of leadership skills and effective teams.

Mary's commitment is to support and challenge leaders to reach their full potential through recognising and building on their strengths, making reflective practice a daily habit and building good working relationships with their staff team and the wider community.

She coaches School Principals, Assistant Principals, Co-ordinators and Leadership Teams in Primary and Secondary (Government and Catholic) school settings. She also coaches leaders and managers within the education system. Mary provides and facilitates workshops on self-development, leadership and teamwork in schools. She is a member of the International Coaching Federation of Australasia, and holds their credential of Professional Certified Coach (PCC).

Mary loves working with people in schools. Her background includes over forty years experience in the educational sector as a teacher, school principal, educational consultant and leadership advisor. Mary has developed a deep understanding of people living and working in rural communities and regional cities. Her thesis for her Master of Education degree was on “The Effectiveness of Leadership Teams”.
